What is a Light Spirit?

Legally to be a fully fledged traditional spirit and be called by its category name i.e gin or rum the alcohol content must be a minimum of 37.5% ABV. Low alcohol can’t be more than 1.2% ABV therefore leaving a large grey area sometimes referred to as reduced alcohol that would give the drinker choice but is completely unrepresented. We believe Light Spirit clearly demonstrates what we have created, using traditional techniques of distilling, macerating and blending with a sprinkling of modern alchemy to deliver full flavour and refreshment but at a lower ABV.

Why 10%?

Alcohol carries flavour, and 10% enables us to create complex fully flavoured light spirits, that give you the warm feeling of alcohol without the regrets, we don’t believe in all or nothing.

How should you serve DECEM?

The suggested serves of the Aperitif, Spiced Blend, and London Dry are listed on the labels. However if you fancy trying a cocktail, we have many cocktails on the product pages.

How much alcohol is in DECEM?

A bottle of DECEM contains 10% alcohol by volume, about a quarter of your average standard spirit.

How many units are in DECEM?

A bottle contains 7.0 units. The NHS recommends not to exceed 14 units per week.

Why is my DECEM cloudy or has sediment?

Although we commercially filter every liquid in our range, as we use natural ingredients and flavours haze and sediment can occur. This does not impact flavour (it actually means flavour) and is normal and completely safe to drink.

Where do you ship?

Currently we only ship to the UK.

How much is postage?

Postage is £3.95, or free when you spend over £60.

What delivery service do you use?

We ship our products with Yodel.

How long will my package take to arrive?

Orders recieved before 2pm will be sent on the same day. Orders received after 2pm on Friday and over the weekend will be sent on Monday. Delivery times are normally 3 - 5 working days.

Can I return my order?

Yes, we can accept returns if within 30 days of purchase you’ve changed your mind and the bottle is still sealed and undamaged. We unfortunately can’t refund either the original or return shipping costs. Please get in touch with us by email hello@decemdrinks.com
